Are they temporary tattoos?
Yes, these are temporary tattoos and are waterproof. Don’t be fooled cuz these tattoos are not the direct rub-on inks on the skin but are safety adhesives that stick on skin.
Are they waterproof?
Yes, these are waterproof and would be ideal when going on water rides in amusement parks or when going camping.
How long do they last?
The industry states that these can last between 1 to 5 days. They can last for up to 5 days, if left unscrubbed .I recommend using one a day. Of course, as a mommy, I tested them on my kids first and I can confidently say that they can at least last an entire day. When going on outings, we highly recommend the tattoos be applied on either side of the arms where kids cannot play around with it. In addition, we would also recommend following the application process so the entire tattoo is applied properly on the skin.Swimming in chlorinated water can affect the durability of the tattoos. You can shower with your tattoo, but do not scrub—just rinse lightly to keep clean.
Are they safe?
They are actually on see-through adhesive paper...so it's like a sticker. We use FDA compliant medical adhesive on all products. The adhesive is acrylic-based and does not contain latex. Always be cautious and do a small test area with your tattoos prior to applying for long durations. Warning: Do not apply to sensitive skin or near eyes. As a precaution, do not use this temporary tattoo (or any other adhesive products) if you are pregnant or nursing. If you have sensitive skin and have received a rash from band-aids or adhesives you may want to leave your tattoo on for only a few hours.
Why are they not sticking on the skin?
Before applying the tattoos on skin, the skin must be clean and dry. Avoid using sunscreen or lotion…they break down the adhesive. As I also mentioned in “How long do they last,” the application of the tattoo is the most important factor to ensure that the tattoo stays on the skin. You must let the tattoo set on the skin, then saturate with warm water on sponge or tissue. It is also IMPORTANT that the tattoo is completely dry (in a couple minutes) before it is touched, rubbed
